Through the website set up by the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust, devotees and those interested can send donations for the construction of the temple. Donation for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya can also be made through Cheque/DD. According to the notification given on the website of the temple trust, no other banking charges are levied on the amount donated in the name of ‘Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust’.
When donating online for Ram temple renovation, if the money is transferred through the payment gateway, the donation receipt will be received at the time of completion of the transaction. Meanwhile, those who donate through UPI/ QR Code/ IMPS/ DD/ Cheque, etc., will receive a donation receipt from Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust after checking the details. So after 15 days of donation you can visit the website and download the receipt.
Get tax relief
In a notification issued on the website of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Temple Trust, it has been stated that the donation for the construction of Ram Temple will be tax exempted. The central government had issued a notification stating that the place “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra” is of great historical importance and is considered as a place of public worship. This has come into effect from the financial year 2020-21.
Hence up to 50% of the amount donated for the construction of Ram Temple to the account of “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra” with PAN number “AAZTS6197B” will get tax exemption. The tax benefit is available under Rule 80-G(2)(b) of the Income Tax Act. But the tax exemption is available only for the amount up to Rs.2000 in currency contribution.
Meanwhile, the Prana Pratishtha of Ram Temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22, 2024. The ceremonies related to the idol dedication are progressing with the full cooperation of the Central Government and the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. The idol consecration ceremony will be conducted in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
