The Women and Youth Investigation Unit of the Incheon Police Agency in South Korea has revealed that A 30-year-old woman has been arrested for a double murder after killing her two newborn children (in different years) and secretly burying them in a mountain. The mother had not registered the children’s births so as not to be discovered and killed them because she “did not want to be a mother” after becoming pregnant after sleeping with different men.
According to local media, the woman, a single mother, is accused of killing two children after they were born, events that occurred several years ago. The first of them was done in 2012. The woman became pregnant by a man she “only slept with once” and then she had the child. But upon receiving her discharge, she arrived at her house and decided to kill him. In reference to her crime, she told the police that “The child cried so much that I suffocated him to death and then abandoned the body in the mountain.”
But three years later, she became pregnant again. It was a similar event, since her father was a different man. Thus, when she gave birth, she killed him in her home and also took him to another mountain to kill him.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and local governments carried out the investigation and thanks to this, they managed to discover this woman’s crimes. And it is that The mother, so that her murders would not be known, did not register her births.
According to the South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, among children born between 2010 and 2014, there are 9,603 children who exist only with temporary numbers of newborns in the Integrated Immunization Management System of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
