Abdullah Jassim participated in the individual time trial, and was close to getting the silver, had it not been for the fall he suffered in the last 150 meters, which caused him to be disrupted for more than a minute and lost the time of arrival, but he succeeded in compensating during his last race, yesterday, and getting He won the Asian medal in a race that witnessed the participation of 59 cyclists for a distance of 138 km.
The President of the Cycling Federation and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, Mansour Bouassiba, said in a press statement that Abdullah Jassim reaped the fruits of the great effort made by the national team and the camp, which lasted from last March until the date of participation in the Asian Championship. Bouassiba told “Emirates Today”: “The team is able to compete with any continental country, and succeeded in that with planning, fatigue and effort made by the team’s riders. It is difficult to continue for three months in an external European camp. Spending the month of Ramadan and Eid away from the family, and continuing training.
