The UAE Judo Federation announced the participation of the strongest international teams in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Championship, which will be held at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, during the period from October 10 to 13.
The federation revealed, in a press statement yesterday, that many of the teams that recently participated in the “Paris 2024 Olympics”, including France, Britain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the Republic of Moldova, and Mongolia, will be present in the tournament, along with several other teams, including Lebanon and the Republic of the Congo.
The Judo team is currently preparing for the championship, with an internal training camp in Abu Dhabi, which includes various training sessions in swimming, running and weightlifting, in preparation for the second stage, which will be held at Tokai University in Japan in the last week of this month.
The President of the Judo Federation, Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Derei, called for taking advantage of the final preparation period hosted by the Japanese Federation, to achieve all the desired goals of the camp.
