On March 15, the Ingodinsky District Court of Chita placed the foreman of Chitaoblgaz under house arrest for two months in the case of a household gas explosion in a residential building in the Antipikha microdistrict.
Under house arrest, the master will stay until May 8.
The man was detained on March 13, he was charged under the article “Performance of work and provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers, which negligently caused serious harm to human health.”
According to the investigation, on March 9, the master ordered his subordinates to supply a propane-butane gas mixture from an external gas pipeline to the house at the address: Chita, st. Borovaya, 6. At the same time, gas equipment was examined not in all apartments.
Investigators believe that the defendant’s actions led to a gas leak in one of the apartments.
A gas explosion occurred in a five-story residential building in Antipikha on March 9. As a result of the incident, the last two floors of the building, the fourth and fifth, were damaged. 11 people were injured, including four children.
The Ministry of Finance of the Trans-Baikal Territory will allocate more than 6.4 million rubles for payments to victims.
The Investigative Committee of Russia opened two criminal cases: on the provision of services of inadequate quality (part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and on negligence (part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
