Adelaide: India’s Sania Mirza and Kazakhstan’s Ana Danilina lost in the first round of women’s doubles at the Adelaide International Tennis Series.
Czech Republic’s Petra Vitova beat 23rd seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in straight sets 6-3, 7-5 in the women’s singles first round of the series in Adelaide, Australia. Another Czech player, Karolina Pliskova, lost to American Daniel Collins in straight sets 2-6, 4-6.
In the women’s doubles category, India’s Sania Mirza and Kazakhstan’s Ana Danilina played their first round match against Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova and Strom Hunter. In this match which was held for about one hour and 20 minutes, the pair of Sania Mirza and Ana Danilina lost with the score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-10.
