PC Joshi said, this decision has been taken in view of the unprecedented covid situation. We are with the Government of India. Our admission criteria will be strictly on merit basis. We will respect the criterion of CBSE board.
It should be noted that while canceling the CBSE Class 12 exams, the central government said that the class 12 results will be compiled according to a well-defined objective criteria. Now Delhi University has officially said that whatever formula CBSE will adopt regarding the 12th board examinations, we will declare the cut-off on the basis of that. Every year, DU conducts undergraduate admission in most of the courses through cut-off which is largely calculated on the basis of class 12 marks.
It is noteworthy that the 12th class board exams have been cancelled. Students, parents and academicians have welcomed this decision. However, questions are still pending regarding the results and evaluation of class 12 students. Many renowned educational institutions and academicians across the country are appealing to make the evaluation process uniform and transparent.
