During a conversation with the Trome newspaper, Adolfo Chuimán referred to the arrival of the actors Sergio Galliani and Karina Calmet to ‘In the background there is a place’after several years of absence. However, the interpreter said that, unlike his colleagues, he has not been called for production to resume his role as Peter McKay.
“I resigned last year to the series and they have not called me again. I have seen the series a little in the new season, I wish you the best because I know them and I have worked with them, but whom I miss the most is a to Yvonne Frayssinetwith whom I have worked many years and there is a friendship to this day, “said the actor.
Likewise, the artist made it clear that he currently evaluates an offer to return to television, although it is a project other than ‘in the background there is a place’. “Most likely, but I still can’t comment,” he said.

Why did Adolfo Chuimán go from ‘In the background there is a place’?
In August 2024, the actor offered an interview for the ‘More shows’ program, where he explained the reasons for his departure from ‘In the background there is a place’. As indicated, his retirement was mainly due to the need to rest and take care of his health.
“I need a break because the body does not give you and you have to take care of it, so there we are,” he said. Despite his departure, Adolfo Chuimán left open the possibility of returning at some point to production, provided that the appropriate conditions are given. “My colleagues tell me until the end of the year, after festivities, a lot of things say (…) is already a matter of deciding because, don’t you feel better,” he added.
