Adoption authority may have destroyed thousands of files: ‘Very sad’

Possibly thousands of adoption files were destroyed in 1999 by the government agency that is supposed to protect the rights of children adopted from abroad. Dutch-Korean Stephanie Dong-Hee Kim discovered this in a search for her own adoption history. The government acknowledges that files have been destroyed, but does not yet know how many.
