The command of the US Army base in New Mexico on Friday, September 24, reported that a female soldier announced an attack on her by a group of Afghan refugees who are temporarily stationed at the site.
“We can confirm that a female soldier reported that on September 19 she was attacked by a small group of male evacuees at the Doña Ana complex in New Mexico. We take the allegation seriously and have referred the case to the FBI. The safety and well-being of our military personnel, as well as all those who work at the base, are of paramount importance, “- quotes the words of the leadership of the Border Report base.
Details of the incident were not disclosed. The FBI is investigating.
The command assured that the victim was immediately provided with the necessary assistance, and security measures were strengthened at the base.
At the same time, on September 22, protests in the Pakistani capital Islamabad gathered thousands of people who demanded an early trial of a US soldier accused of killing a young girl from Pakistan.
A 27-year-old girl, Nur Mukaddam, was brutally murdered, presumably by a US citizen: tortured and then beheaded. In committing the murder, the soldier probably assumed that he would return to the States the next morning. The murder case is currently pending in court, but residents fear that the United States embassy could influence the proceedings to save their citizen from the death penalty.
