Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer received the first sending off in his history during the match against Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup, on Tuesday.
Neuer came out of his goal in his usual manner in an attempt to intercept the ball before it reached Leverkusen’s Jeremy Frimpong.
But he collided with the Dutch player, who fell to the ground, and the referee did not hesitate to show the red card to the Bayern Munich goalkeeper in the 17th minute, the first in his career after playing 923 matches.
Bayer Leverkusen eliminated its rival, Bayern Munich, from the round of 16 of the German Cup with a clean goal in the match that was held at the Allianz Arena.
