The decision was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Amjad Al-Sayed Awad, President of the Second Circuit Court of Matrouh Criminal Court, which included a warning to the accused to attend the next session, scheduled for October 22.
The defense team of the accused Ahmed Fattouh demanded, according to the session today, Monday, to hear the testimony of the forensic team and the detectives who conducted the investigation into the incident, and for the court to go to inspect the scene of the accident, and to issue a fatwa from the Dar Al Iftaa on the value of blood money in accidental killing incidents, and to hear the testimony of the paramedics who transported the victim’s body to question them in their testimony about the incident and to demand the release of the accused as he is a public figure, and out of concern for his future.
The second circuit of the Matrouh Criminal Court witnessed today, Monday, the second session of the trial of Ahmed Fattouh, who caused the death of a passerby by mistake, after he ran him over with his private car, while under the influence of drugs, in one of the streets of the New Alamein City last August, where the victim’s defense refused to reconcile with the accused, stressing that “the accused’s body was torn to pieces as the car was traveling at a speed exceeding 160 km per hour.”
