Muhammad Al-Ghazi, the father of the player, Anwar Al-Ghazi, said that his son refused to back down from his solidarity with Gaza, despite his indefinite arrest by the German Mainz administration.
Al-Ghazi’s father confirmed in statements to Win Win newspaper that his son does not want to release a video in which he apologizes for his position.
The same spokesman added that Anwar Al-Ghazi was deeply affected and cried a lot after the decision to arrest him from the squares.
The same speaker highlighted that his son received many offers in the Gulf League, especially from the Qatari League, and they will be studied in the coming period.
The club management suspended Anwar Al-Ghazi from participating in the team’s matches and training indefinitely.
The German Mainz asked all players not to express their opinion about the Israeli attack on Palestine.
It is expected that the club’s management will impose financial penalties on Anwar Al-Ghazi, while discussing the termination of his contract with the team, during the next winter Mercato.
Mainz Club had signed Moroccan Anwar El Ghazi on a free transfer during the last summer transfer period.
