In order to avoid any problems, “Laram” decided to abandon its programming for a trip to Gabon, after elements of the army and police there announced the cancellation of the results of the presidential elections that led to the victory of President “Ali Bongo”, the dissolution of “all state institutions” and “the end of the existing presidential system.”
It was decided to cancel the Royal Air Maroc flight, which was scheduled for ten o’clock in the evening today, Wednesday, according to what was reported by “Al Jarida 24”, after receiving news of the coup plotters’ intention to close the country’s airspace, although the fate of the remaining flights has not yet been announced, noting that “ Laram operates four flights a week to Gabon.
A statement was read by the putschists on Gabon 24 television from the presidential residence, stating that all institutions, the government, the Senate, the National Assembly and the Constitutional Court, were dissolved, with Gabon’s borders closed until further notice.
Today, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Gabon witnessed a military coup, after the putschists rejected the official results of the presidential elections that took place last Saturday, and resulted in the re-election of President Ali Bongo Odimba, with 64.27 percent of the vote.
