The Confederation of African Football subjected two stars from the Moroccan national team to a doping test immediately after the end of their first match in the group stage of the African Cup last Wednesday.
Officials accredited by the committee responsible for doping testing went to Moroccan internationals Sofiane Amrabat and Amine Harith to test them for doping.
The selection of the two Moroccan stars for this test came as part of a random selection process, immediately after the end of the match between the Moroccan national team and its Tanzanian counterpart, which took place on Wednesday, in the first round of the group stage of the African Cup of Nations “Cannes” Côte d’Ivoire.
Hareth was chosen even though he participated in the match as a reserve, unlike Amrabat.
The doping detection specialists took two test samples from each player, so that one of the two samples could be analyzed directly, while the other was kept for later use when necessary.
