The country is flooded with the Agneepath scheme brought by the Center. Protests are raging in all states. The order made controversial remarks against one of the protesters. BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur on Monday said that those protesting against the Agneepath scheme were selfish. Haribhushan Thakur, a BPC MLA from Madhubani district, said they had nothing to do with patriotism. “Those who protest against the Agneepath scheme are jihadists or they are selfish. Those who want to serve the country are very happy with this scheme. It is not a job but a service to the country. People have to sacrifice their lives for it.” Thakur said. He also said that it was not a job for those who wanted powers and luxuries in the defense forces. Haribhushan Thakur said that we are giving four years opportunity to serve the country. He also described the protests as “planned violence”. Protesters have been criticized for setting the train on fire and attacking BJP leaders. Thakur alleged that some were misleading the youth of the country. However, RJD leader Shaktisingh Yadav denied Thakur’s remarks. “The youth are not satisfied with the Agneepath scheme. So Prime Minister Narendra Modi should communicate with them. At present the farmers and soldiers are not satisfied with this government. Do you want to divide the country ..?” Shakti Singh asked. On the other hand, the unrest continued for the fifth day in Bihar. In Patna, a large number of youths protested under the auspices of AISA at Kargil Chowk. In Itu Arwal, CPI (ML) leaders and supporters held posters and banners and chanted slogans against the central government.
