The end here is just the new beginning…
Hardly any film or series of “ star Wars“Universe has recently gripped fans as much as the eight episodes of “Ahsoka” with leading actress Rosario Dawson (44).
Only “Baby Yoda” experienced a similar hype a few years ago when he appeared as a cuddly character on “The Mandalorian” (three seasons on Disney+ so far).
Now events in the history of the former are coming to a head Anakin Skywalker-Student Ahsoka. The final episode (a good 48 minutes long with credits) has been online since October 4th and puts a piece of Star Wars history in the shade. BILD saw the episode.
WARNING: SPOILERS for the last episode!
If you don’t want to know which actor was caught in the last few meters of season one and which starship got lost in the galaxy at the end, don’t read on!
What’s in store for hardcore fans in the last episode for now? Hope! The announcement of a second season should only be a matter of time.
Director Dave Filoni (49) was able to inspire many fans. As one of the creators of the animated series “The Clone Wars,” you could feel his love for the characters around ex-Jedi Ahsoka and her friends. Loving details and Easter eggs (including exact replicas of laser swords from the animation template) were included.
In addition, a mini-scene was a big topic of conversation: Apparently the new fan-favorite villain “Baylan Skoll” (played by Ray Stevenson, who died in the spring at the age of 59) wore a list of names on his wrist in a mini-scene.
The names “Luke” and “Leia” were written here in “Star Wars” font “Aurebesh”. THE famous Skywalker twins who, according to the official timeline, are still alive and out somewhere out there in the greater galaxy at the time of the Ahsoka series.
But what are the biggest hits in the finale?
They exist – THE ZOMBIE stormtroopers. It was already a rumor long before the final episode. In the final skirmishes between the rediscovered Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), his girlfriend Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ahsoka, the battered soldiers were turned into multiple cannon fodder by the evil Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen).
The Dathomir witches, who were also newly introduced, brought the attackers back to life after a lightsaber beating. Now there is “The Walking Dead” in space…
Speaking of DEAD…
“Morgan Elsbeth” (Diana Lee Inosanto) has just been appointed one of the evil Dathomir witches (named after her home planet) and equipped with the legendary “Talzin Sword” (super weapon of the witch gang). big endgame (a sword duel) with Ahsoka Tano.
The chances of revival? They’re not bad.
At the end of the 48-minute episode (with more than four minutes of credits), there are hints of an exciting future for the series.
After Thrawn escapes with the Star Destroyer, Ahsoka and Co. remain behind in the wasteland of the mysterious planet Peridea. Exciting: a short encounter at a distance.
Ahsoka spots a shimmering green owl. “Star Wars” connoisseurs know that such a little bird already appeared in the “Rebels” series as “Morai” and is always a special omen of power.
But how can Ahsoka and her friends leave the planet light years away from their original home? It remains open. Would HE even want to leave there again? Unlikely! In one of the final scenes, Baylan Skoll can be seen on a mountain. This bears the face of the “Father”.
Fans of “Star Wars” immediately see: This is the “Family of One”.
To the right is a slightly battered figure of “Son”. On the left, only remnants of the “daughter” can be seen. The family symbolized power with the children (light and dark side) and the father as a regulator. It looks like former Jedi Master Baylan may want to get to the origin of the whole thing, not just one side. He wants the big game!
And there won’t be a second season without the Force ghost of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) move on. After 43 minutes, his silhouette can be seen! Ahsoka and Sabine sense him, but cannot recognize him. But it is THE proof, the big bang at the end: the fallen Jedi has his eyes on his protégés. Always and everywhere.
