As part of Air India’s business expansion, it has agreed to buy aircraft from Airbus and Boeing companies. 250 planes are being bought from Airbus. It has been agreed to buy 470 aircraft from both the companies. This is the biggest contract of a private airline company in the history of aviation in the country. Air India places an aircraft order after a gap of 17 years.

This agreement will create more than 10 lakh jobs in 44 states. He noted that this announcement reflects the strength of the US-India economic partnership. India-US cooperation will help create new jobs in both the countries. The landmark agreement between Air India and Boeing was welcomed by both countries. . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Boeing and other US companies to the country to take advantage of the opportunities that will arise as India’s civil aviation sector is further developed.
Earlier, there were reports that Air India is preparing for a major renovation under the Tata Group. With record orders for Airbus and Boeing aircraft, Air India is poised to become one of the world’s largest airlines. More airlines coming to India’s popular airline company will be a relief for passengers.
Air India will also upgrade existing aircraft. There are reports that the company is preparing to upgrade 40 aircraft at a cost of Rs 3295 crore. 27 Boeing 787–800 aircraft and 13 Boeing 777 aircraft will be upgraded. These are the aircraft acquired with the acquisition of Air India by the Tata Group. The first phase of upgraded aircraft is expected to enter service in 2024.
