As part of Air India’s plans to launch more aircraft services, the company this year signed a contract to buy 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. According to reports, about 10 lakh job opportunities will be created in the United States only under the contract given by Air India to the American company Boeing.

Air India has signed one of the biggest deals in the aviation sector, ordering 470 aircraft at a time. Tata Group’s aim is to make Air India the best airline in the world. Tata Group has already leased 36 aircraft. Air India and Air India Express currently have 140 aircraft. Most are narrow-gauge aircraft. Of the 470 aircraft ordered by the airline, 70 are large aircraft and 400 are small aircraft. It is indicated that Air India may receive 31 of the ordered aircraft this year itself.

– With the completion of the AirAsia merger, thousands of pilots will be required to operate the company’s countless flights. More pilots may be hired in the coming years as well. Air India has plans to hire flight attendants across the country. The crew will be given classes and special training on board for this. 15 weeks training is provided. 1,900 cabin crew have been hired since May last year. Air India has stated that around 500 people have been appointed in the last three months.
