Russia continues to attack the port city of Mariupol. About 1,500 people are reported to have been killed here alone. Attempts to evacuate citizens to safer cities were also reported to have failed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky has said that Russian aggressors will not be able to defeat them. Selensky’s statement was made in a video released on social media on Saturday night. Selensky’s response comes as Russian forces continue to advance from the north, west and northeast. Selensky also claimed that Russia did not have the power to subdue them.

Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Ukraine was moved to Poland as Russia intensified its offensive. The Center said the move was temporary due to deteriorating security conditions. The Center said in a statement that the decision would be changed as the situation changed.
The decision to relocate the embassy to Poland came after a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
