Airtel will enable IPPB customers to connect with the bank on WhatsApp and access a range of banking services. These services include door-to-door service request and even locating the nearest post office.
In line with the government’s plans to bring digital and financial services to the citizens of India in their language, the Airtel – IPPB WhatsApp Banking service provides multi-language support. Making it more convenient for customers especially those in rural areas of the country to access banking services in their preferred language. The company said in a statement.
Airtel said it is working with IPPB to deliver 250 million messages per month to customers. Many of them are located in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Technology-driven financial services have huge potential. The best financial products are the distance of the country

Airtel IQ is a powerful, intuitive and secure cloud communication service. With the addition of the WhatsApp messaging facility that we offer to India Post Payments Bank customers in addition to the existing SMS and voice communication, we will enable a two-way communication between the bank and its customers. Airtel IQ Business Head Abhishek Biswal said.
IPPB and Airtel IQ are also working to further integrate a real-time interactive customer support through WhatsApp. This helps customers to access 24X7 support and get quick answers to their queries.

IPPB was launched as a pilot project in Ranchi (Jharkhand) and Raipur (Chhattisgarh) on January 30, 2017 with an aim to open up banking across India during the financial year 2018-2019.
