What actually happened is that Jasti Ramakrishna, president of the East Godavari District Cine Exhibitors’ Association and a leading film exhibitor, died of a brain stroke while watching the movie ‘Akhanda’ at the Shyamala Theater.

He was rushed to a hospital. But the profit was gone. He had already lost his life. Ramakrishna started his career as the owner of Namavaram VS Mahal Theater near Rajahmundry and later rose to become the President of the District Cine Exhibitors Association and the Head of Vintage Creations.

The entire Balayya film has sold over fifty crores. It seems to have gotten half the amount in two days. It remains to be seen if Balayya will break any more records by the end of this weekend. In the US, however, Balayya crossed the half-million mark.
