The current government, led by Aziz Akhannouch, still hopes to achieve signs of recovery in the national economy during the next year, despite the external repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and its impact on the prices of raw materials and the export process.
Today, Saturday, Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, said in a speech at the regional forum for the elected assembly in its sixth stop in the eastern region, that Morocco will gradually emerge from the economic crisis, after most indicators witnessed a relative improvement.
Akhannouch stressed that the reports of the International Monetary Fund and financial organizations praise the resilience of the national economy against crises, with the improvement of indicators, highlighting that the visit of 6.5 million tourists to the Kingdom at the end of June 2023 is one of the factors that confirm the beginning of the country’s economic recovery.
The prime minister added that the government’s measures will be felt by the citizen starting from the coming months and years, especially in terms of economic and commercial prosperity, with the creation of investments that will positively affect job opportunities.
And the same spokesman highlighted that the government found a delay in downloading a set of programs, and despite the repercussions of the drought as well as the Russian and Ukrainian conflict, it achieved a set of reforms, especially in the agricultural, tourism and transportation sectors, while supporting employment through the “Forsa” and “Urash” programs.
The same speaker explained that the government is working on the priorities of health, employment and education, without ignoring the rest of the sectors, also mentioning bold tax reforms, the most important of which is the return of the tax to contracting, with the issuance of the new flexible public procurement circular.
