LucknowSamajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has blamed the negligence of the BJP government for the death of 18 people in the accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. Along with this, he has raised six questions and demanded answers to these questions from the BJP government.
Akhilesh Yadav said that it is a matter of investigation that despite the provision of special parking zones on the expressway (Lucknow-Agra Expressway), why was a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. How did the monitoring of the parked vehicle go wrong despite the CCTVs being installed? Were the CCTVs not working? Akhilesh Yadav asked, where was the highway police, was regular patrolling not being done?
The SP chief (Akhilesh Yadav) asked how long it took for the highway ambulance service to arrive after the accident and what was its role in relation to the casualties. If the vehicle was standing due to a breakdown, why was towing assistance not provided to it. Crores of rupees are spent daily on the expressway (Lucknow-Agra Expressway), is that money going somewhere else instead of being spent on the administration and management of the expressway?
