Al-Ahly of Egypt leaves Qandoussi to participate with the Algerian national team in the African Cup of Nations

The Egyptian club Al-Ahly announced that it will leave its new Algerian player Ahmed Qandoussi to continue his career with his country in the African Nations Championship for locals, which is currently being held in Algeria.

Al-Ahly said in a statement on its official website in the early hours of Sunday morning, “Based on the close relationship between Al-Ahly club and its brother club, the Algerian club ES Setif, and in appreciation of the brotherly Algerian fans, Al-Ahly club will not request that its new player, Ahmed Qandousi, join the team’s participation mission.” In the World Club Championship in Morocco, away from any regulations or laws.

And he added, “Kandoussi will be left to contribute with his colleagues in the Algerian national team to continue their successful career in the African Cup of Nations for the locals, to the happiness of the brotherly Algerian fans.”

And Al-Ahly had announced the inclusion of Al-Kandoussi from Algeria’s ES Setif yesterday evening, Saturday, for a period of four and a half seasons.
