Al-Orouba Club Board Member and First Team Supervisor, former international referee Hamad Al-Sheikh, confirmed that the team’s goal is to remain in the ADNOC Professional League during the next season, stressing the club’s desire to provide technical levels that will lead it to positive results that will please the team’s fans and help it achieve its ambitions.
He told Al-Emarat Al-Youm that the team’s preparations are going well, explaining: “We are very satisfied with the external camp that was held in Egypt, as it was distinguished, and witnessed the playing of six friendly matches, during which the team achieved victory in four matches, and tied in two matches.”
He added: “These matches contributed to raising the level of harmony between the players according to the technical instructions of the Portuguese coach Bruno, especially since the teams that played against Al-Arabiya played the matches with the first team players.”
“The friendly matches proved that signing local and foreign players reflects his vision to find a combination capable of achieving the club’s goals, after signing players with good skills, most notably Brazilian Kak and Gambian Abubakar Trawley, who have previously played in the Professional League, in addition to other players with similar technical specifications, as well as local players, as contracts were renewed with a number of players from the team that was promoted from the First Division, including Muhannad Khamis and goalkeeper Abdullah Sanqour, in addition to signing new local players,” he added.
He added: “We are keen to support the team players with important information that they will need during the season, including how to deal with the field referees, the most important football refereeing updates, in addition to how to deal with the media, in conjunction with the technical and physical efforts.”
