Moroccan runner Soufiane El Bakkali won the gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase race at the Budapest 2023 World Championships.
Al-Baqali said in televised statements that he presents the gold medal to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of his birthday.
The Moroccan runner confirmed that he will try to remain at the same level and determination, highlighting that he has gained enough experience to win the gold medal.
The same spokesman added that it is difficult during the upcoming competitions to achieve the record, due to fatigue, but next year is possible.
The same speaker highlighted that the Moroccan people always support him and follow up on all their messages, stressing that a few words of thanks are given to them.
