Al-Bataeh and Maliha qualified for the semi-finals of the “play-off” stage of the Futsal League, following the conclusion of the second leg of the quarter-final round that was held yesterday. While Al-Bataeh player Nawfal Al-Taei scored for Dibba Al-Hisn in the 31st minute, and Khaled Al-Muhairi in the 40th minute, and despite Al-Bataeh’s loss, he secured qualification after winning the first leg against Dibba Al-Hisn with three clean goals.
Maliha team managed to qualify after defeating Khor Fakkan by four goals to three.
Gabriel de Aero (16) and Bruno Barbosa (31-32-39) scored for Maliha, while Brazilian Brian da Silva scored for Khorfakkan (25), Ahmed Al Hammadi (36), and Saud Khaled (40). Going with two goals each and winning the second leg.
The two qualified teams, Al-Bataeh and Maliha, will meet in the semi-finals on Thursday and Sunday, with the winner qualifying to face Sharjah in the final of the tournament.
