The Al-Bataeh team’s career witnessed a major boom during the current football season, during which it transformed from a team competing for survival in the ADNOC Professional League last season 2022-2023, to one of the clubs competing with the adults for advanced positions in the current league 2023-2024.
Al-Bataeh occupies seventh place on the league standings with 26 points, behind Sharjah “sixth” with 31 points, after the team presented an advanced technical level, through which it proved its worth in the advanced position that it currently occupies until the end of the 21st round, and the team has achieved great successes from match to match Others, the last of which was a draw (2-2) away from home to host Sharjah in the last round of the league.

Al-Naqbi added: “The entire work system within Al-Bataeh Club worked in the past period at the heart of one man, to achieve these good results, and the team proved its ability to achieve its ambitions to reach the best.”
Al-Bataeh had advanced in the 2021-2022 season from the first division championships to the ADNOC Professional League, and played last season 2022-2023 within the professional league clubs, and this is his second consecutive season in the professionals.
He continued: “Al-Bataeh awaits an important confrontation against Al-Wasl on the sixth of next month in the 22nd round, and it is natural for it to be difficult and strong, as it is facing the leaders, and achieved a series of great victories, and we have great confidence in the technical staff and the team’s players. We will strive to come out with a positive result.”
Regarding future goals, Al-Naqbi said: “The Board of Directors will meet and discuss the team’s future goals to reach a better position,” stressing that “the team is currently performing well, and that its goal is to stabilize the existing elements, and for its part, the club’s technical committee will look into matters related to the team.” In preparation for next season.”
He explained: “Al-Bataeh’s goal has been clear since the beginning of the current season, which is to improve the team’s position from what it was last season, and to move forward towards achieving its set goals to reach the best possible position among the top professional clubs.”
Regarding the team’s last match against Sharjah, Al-Naqbi said: “Al-Bataeh knew how to deal with the match, and came out tied (2-2) with Sharjah and scored a point.”

Goran’s contract extended
Vice President of Al-Bataeh Football Company, Sulaiman Al-Naqbi, stressed that the club extended the contract of Croatian team coach Goran Tomic for two more seasons, in appreciation of the great efforts and great role played by the coach and his technical staff.
The Al-Bataeh management had signed Goran to succeed former Romanian coach Mirel Raudi, who left the club heading to Al-Jazira before he was later dismissed by the latter.
