Al-Buraikan (22 years old) reached his goal No. 10 in the current season with Al-Fateh after 18 rounds, which is the same number of goals he scored last season as a whole.
This is the second Al-Buraikan double in a row, after he led his team to score the winning goal over Al-Taawun in the 16th round of the league competition, while he scored a goal against Al-Batin, Abha, Al-Khaleej, Al-Raed, Al-Adalah and Al-Wahda.
Firas had scored 11 goals last season, including a hat-trick against Dhamak, to become the best Saudi scorer in the competition.
Al-Buraikan succeeded in achieving the best number registered in the name of a Saudi player since 2018-2019, after he exceeded 10 goals for the second season, as Muhammad Al-Kuwaikibi, the player of Al-Ettifaq, was the top scorer for Saudi players in the 2020-2021 season, with 7 goals, and in the previous season, Raed Al-Ghamdi was the striker of Al-Raed, the top scorer, with 6 goals.
No Saudi player has achieved the title of top scorer in the league since the 2013-2014 season, specifically when Nasser Al-Shamrani, the former Al-Hilal player, won the title with 21 goals. With 16 goals.
