Tomorrow, the annual “Zayed Charity Race 2024” will start at “Abu Dhabi Legacy”, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The “Zayed Charity Race” encourages all athletes, whether professional or amateur, to participate in this event under the slogan “We Run to Help.”
A press release stated, “Different tracks have been prepared to suit all levels, including a three-km track for families, a five-km track for intermediate athletes, and a 10-km advanced track for experienced and professionals.”
For his part, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Race, Lieutenant General (M) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, said: “We are very proud that the Zayed Charity Race has been and continues to be a force for good since its inception in 2001, in honor of the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. May God bless him.”
He added: “We now have well-established Zayed Charity Races in Abu Dhabi, New York and Egypt, which attract an increasing number of participants inspired by his noble message, with plans to soon expand to many other countries. We welcome participants from all age groups and all levels of fitness, and we look forward to joining… More of them on race day to cheer their family and friends on to the finish line, and I’m also thrilled that the proceeds from this event will go entirely to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, to enable people living with MS to A normal life through awareness, support, and the pursuit of a cure.”
