Saeed Al-Nasiri, president of Wydad Athletic Club for Football, responded today, Wednesday, to reports circulating regarding the offer made by Saudi billionaire Abdullah bin Ouda Al-Osaimi, in order to buy a stake in the red team.
Al-Nasiri said, during his hosting of a radio program, that “Wydad is the team of resistance and history, and we will not sell it to anyone, because my morals do not allow me to do so, since the red team belongs to all Moroccans.”
The Wydad president confirmed that he is only a manager of the team, and the law prevents that, highlighting that the club is determined to settle all its financial problems, before the start of the next season.
The same spokesman added that Wydad is not banned from assignments, according to rumors, and will sign with a number of players who are able to help the team in national and continental competitions.
The same speaker highlighted that Wydad has now signed a preliminary contract with the Algerian player, Elias Sheti, and will also try to adhere to all the pillars of the team, especially Atiyatallah, Gibran and Al-Amoud.
