The Emirates Basketball Association announced that the Sharjah Club will participate in the competitions of the 34th edition of the Dubai International Basketball Championship, scheduled from January 24 to February 2, representing the Emirati basketball clubs.
Al-Sharjah will participate with the UAE national team in the new year’s edition, after Al-Nasr participated in the previous edition.
The Dubai International Basketball Championship is a major preparation stage within the program to prepare our national team to participate in the third window of the Asian qualifiers for the Asian Cup, in which it will face the teams of Syria and Lebanon.
It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Club includes in its ranks a group of prominent players in the ranks of the national team, and is considered one of the most prominent teams competing in basketball tournaments at the local level, alongside the title-winning Shabab Al-Ahly, in addition to Al-Nasr and Al-Wasl.
