Al-Suwaie and Al-Rashidi win two international positions in “Paralympic Athletics”

Yesterday, the National Paralympic Committee announced the victory of Tariq Al-Suwaie, the committee’s technical advisor, as the head of the International Paralympic Athletics Federation’s Sports Committee, and national team player Siham Al-Rashidi as a member of the Players Committee.

This came during the elections held remotely in Germany, under the supervision of the International Paralympic Committee, and the winners were announced after the voting results were counted.

Al-Suwaie went through a strong electoral round with 9 candidates from around the world, with more than 160 countries participating in voting for this position. Al-Rashidi obtained the majority of votes for the seat representing the Asian continent in the International Federation.
