The boat “Al-Taber 55”, owned by Rashid Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer Al Ketbi, and captained by Nokhatha Mohammed Al Muhairi, won the title of “Dubai Local Sailing Boat Race 43 Feet”, the first round of the Dubai Championship for the new season.
The race, which was organized by the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, participated the day before yesterday, with 70 boats carrying 1,000 sailors on board, sailing a distance of 14 nautical miles to the finish line off Ain Dubai.
The boat “Al-Taber 55” was able to take the lead in the race in a time of one hour and seven minutes, ahead of the boat “Zelzal 217” owned by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and captained by Nokhatha Marwan Al Marzouqi, who came second, and the boat (Al-Taf 70) owned by Mohammed. Bin Rashid Al Rumaithi, led by Al Nokhadha Yousef Al Hammadi, third place holder.
In the rest of the positions, (Ghazi 103) owned by Noukhatha Ahmed Al-Rumaithi took fourth place, while (Al-Makhouli 40) owned by Noukhadha Muhammad Al-Suwaidi came fifth, and (Al-Shaqi 96) led by Noukhadha Khalaf Al-Marri came sixth, then (Al-Adid 30) led by Noukhadha Rashid Al-Rumaithi seventh. And (Hashim 153), led by Noukhatha Hassan Al Marzouqi, ranked eighth, and (Al-Aryam 265), owned by Nokhatha Ahmed Salem Al Hammadi, ranked ninth, and (Atlas 12), owned by Nokhatha Ahmed Al Suwaidi, came in tenth place.
After the end of the race, the race supervisor, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohammed Saif Al Marri, and Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi from the Ports Police Station, crowned the champions of the race, the Tupper 55 (first) and Zilzal 217 (second), And Al-Taf 70 (III).
