Al Wahda Club announced the renewal of the sponsorship contract with Burjeel Hospital, to sponsor the club’s first football team in the 2024-2025 sports season. Burjeel provides healthcare and specialized medical services to all athletes in the club through this agreement.
The club also announced that Equity will sponsor the team for the new season as well.
The announcement was made during the season launch ceremony organised by Al Wahda at the Millennium Al Wahda Hotel in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Ahmed Awad Al Otaiba, Vice Chairman of Al Wahda Football Company, Saeed Mubarak, Board Member of the Company, Abdullah Salem, CEO of the Company, John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holdings, and Mohamed Al Ahmad Qatmawi, CEO of Equity.
The club’s home and away shirts for the new season were also announced in the presence of the first football team players, defender Sasha, who came from Bani Yas, and the new Cameroonian striker, Lionel Wamba, who came from the Algerian team, Chabab Belouizdad.
The announcement of the new shirt came amidst great joy from a number of Al-Annabi fans who attended the conference and were keen to take souvenir photos with the team’s new uniform.
For his part, Abdullah Salem Al Junaibi, Executive Director of Al Wahda Club, expressed his great happiness with the renewal of the sponsorship contract with Burjeel Hospital, stressing that the partnership with a large medical institution and facility the size of Burjeel serves the club greatly. He thanked those in charge of the hospital, stressing that everyone at Al Wahda Club is happy with the continued success between the two parties.
He also expressed his happiness with the new partnership with Equity, stressing that this partnership will serve both parties in the future, whether the club or the company itself after its logo appears on the sports teams’ shirts.
