Chilean media reported that Al Wasl signed midfielder Felipe Gutierrez, in a free transfer deal during the current transfer period.
The “Bola VIP” newspaper stated that Gutierrez went to Dubai to complete the contracting procedures with Al Wasl, pointing to the “Emperor’s” offer that contributed to changing the previous international destination from signing with Universidad Chile to heading towards Dubai.
She indicated that the 32-year-old player terminated his contract with Universidad Católica on January 19, and that he will go through his first experience in the region, after he had previously played in the Netherlands with Twente, and also played with Spanish clubs Real Betis, Brazilian Internacional and American Kansas.
It is noteworthy that Al Wasl dispensed with the services of Brazilian striker Gilberto Oliveira during the current transfer period, by moving to Brazilian Cruzeiro, as the “Panthers” have a vacant seat in its ranks to contract with a foreign player before the registration door closes today for the winter transfer period.
