January 1, 2022 … Banks in Aizawl, Chennai, Gangtok and Shillong are celebrating the New Year.
January 3, 2022 .. Banks will be closed in Aizawl and Gangtok for New Year and Losung celebrations.
January 4, 2022 .. Banks will also be on holiday on January 4 in Gangtok during Losung.
January 11, 2022 .. Banks close in Aizawl on the occasion of Missionary Day
January 12, 2022 .. Banks in Kolkata observe a holiday on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.
January 14, 2022 .. Banks closed in Ahmedabad and Chennai on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Pongal
January 15, 2022 .. Banks in Bangalore, Chennai, Gangtok and Hyderabad are on holiday during the Makar Sankranti festival, Sankranti, Pongal and Thiruvalluvar.
January 18, 2022 .. Bank holiday in Chennai during Thaipusam
January 26, 2022 … With the exception of Agartala, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi and Srinagar, banks across the country are observing the holiday on the occasion of Republic Day.
In addition to the above holidays, banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of January 8, 2022 and January 22, 2022. Banks observe the holiday as January 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 are Sundays.
