“All out for 36; BGT series to start on Thursday” – Cricket Australia at a loss for words

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test series between India and Australia cricket teams will begin on Thursday. In reference to that, last time Cricket Australia highlighted the poor performance of the Indian team in the same series. And it has done this even before the start of the series.

Whenever the Indian and Australian cricket teams take to the field for multiple Tests, the game is heated. If the two teams play in a Test series, it will be only in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Since 1996, the series has been named after Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The field is not only full of classic cricket but also a lot of word wars. Let’s say the word game between Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant when the Indian team went to Australia last time. It was also reported on Stamp Mike. Many incidents have happened before that as well. An example of this is the spat of words between Harbhajan Singh and Symonds.

This time the series is taking place in India. The Australian cricket team is camping in India to participate in this. A total of 4 Test matches will be played in this series. The first match starts on the 9th in Nagpur.

But with the first ball of the series yet to be bowled, Australian cricketers, past and present, are talking vociferously. Steve Smith, who is part of the Australian team for the current series, said that the reason why his team skipped the practice match can be said to be the starting point.

“They will give a kind of pitch for a practice game. They will give another pitch in the match. Why should we play in it? Indian team player Ashwin responded in his own style. He also explained why the Indian team does not play practice matches.

“Usually Indian pitches are conducive to batting early in Test cricket. Little by little the wicket will turn in favor of spin. Australia will win the Test series if a pitch like that is set in a fair manner,” former Australian team player Healy spoke controversially about Indian pitches.

Craig Chappell talks about the team that will win this series. He had said that Australia could win the upcoming four-match Test series as the Indian cricket team will suffer this time due to injuries to key players like Rishabh Pant and Bumrah. But it was a general opinion.

In this context, in the last 2020-21, when the Indian team went to Australia, they won the Test series by 2-1. However, he was bowled out for 36 in the second innings in the first Test at Adelaide. Referring to it, Cricket Australia has posted on social media that the 2023 Test series will start. Former Indian player Akash Chopra. He asked, ‘I didn’t say who won the series.’

It is to be noted that if the Indian team wins this series, they will get a chance to play in the final of the World Test Championship. India has won all three series in 2016-17, 2018-19 and 2020-21. Australia last won the series in 2014-15.
