Amaravati: YSR Congress MP yesterday in the Rajya Sabha regarding the issue of the Andhra capital. Vijaysai Reddy raised the question.
Union Home Minister Nithyananda Rai’s reply to this is as follows: According to the 2014 State Partition Act, Amaravati is the capital of Andhra state. The central government is still bound by this. Because Amaravati came into existence as per State Partition Act 5 and 6. The decision of the 3 capitals taken by Chief Minister Jagan’s government has nothing to do with the central government. Amaravati was decided as the capital in 2015 itself. As there is a case in the Supreme Court, we should not talk about it further. Nithyananda Roy said this.
