New Delhi: President Dr. Dr. Ambedkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Dr. Ambedkar’s full-length portrait at a function held near his statue in the Parliament complex in the capital Delhi on his birth anniversary.
President Dirupati Murmu, Prime Minister Modi, Vice President Jagadeep Dhankar, Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers and Leaders of Opposition also participated in this function. Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge and Sonia Gandhi also participated on behalf of the Congress party.
Ambedkar was felicitated on this occasion. It is noteworthy that respect was also paid to the Buddhist priests who participated in it.
