Blinken spoke on the phone with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the same topic. Wang said they had a calm and professional discussion about the incident. “China is a responsible country. China has clarified that the balloon was a ‘civilian spacecraft’ and was launched by them for meteorological research.
