After the blockbuster like ‘Bimbisara’, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s upcoming film, there are expectations on ‘Amigos’. Apart from this, Kalyan Ram is playing three roles in this movie, one of which is a negative role, so the fans are eagerly waiting for this movie. And then the absence of advance bookings is surprising. It does not mean that the producers of the film did not promote it.
Mythri Movie Makers, one of the top production houses in Tollywood at present, has produced this movie. It advertised accordingly. A good buzz has been created on social media as well. Everyone praised the movie trailer and Kalyan Ram’s modulation was very good. And why the situation. Does the title not reach the masses? It is an unspeakable situation. New and catchy titles were loved by the audience in the past. Nothing new now. However, the lack of average advance bookings for a medium range hero is disappointing. Now the only word of mouth is Sri Rama Raksha for the movie ‘Amigo’.
Word of mouth also worked well for the movie ‘Bimbisara’. However, ‘Bimbisara’ advance bookings are good compared to ‘Amigo’. After that the movie got a hit talk and got good collections. And if the movie ‘Amigos’ gets good talk from the audience, it is sure that the audience will go to the theatres. It is reported that this movie has done a pre-release business of around Rs.11.5 crores. That is, if you collect a share of Rs. 12 crores, it will be gutted. ‘Bimbisara’ collected a share of Rs.35 crores in its total theatrical run. So if the movie ‘Amigos’ gets a hit talk, hitting Rs. 12 crores is not a big deal.
Rajendra Reddy is making his debut as a director through this movie coming with an interesting concept called doppelgangers. Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravishankar are producing this film under Mythri Movie Makers banner. Sandelwood’s youngest Aashika Ranganath is making her debut in Tollywood through this film. Gibran composed the music for this film. Cinematography by S. Soundararajan.
