New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the “Bharatpol Portal” working under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Delhi. This portal will work on the lines of Interpol and will provide all the information on one click to all the states of the country in cases of cyber crime, financial crime, organized crime, human trafficking, international crime.
Through Bharatpol Portal, investigation of criminal incidents will be expedited and it will help in gathering information within stipulated time. The police of the states will be able to directly take the help of Interpol with the help of Bharatpol portal for intelligence input regarding any wanted criminal or fugitive. Not only this, foreign law enforcement agencies will also be able to easily contact Indian agencies with the help of ‘Bharatpol’ to gather information regarding any criminal.
On the occasion of the launch of Bharatpol portal, Home Minister Amit Shah said that this launch will take the international investigation of law enforcement agencies of our country into a different era. In a way, till now there was only one agency to work with Interpol, but after the launch of Bharatpol Portal, every agency of the country, every state police will be able to connect themselves with Interpol very easily and Will be able to speed up your investigation.
Bharatpol Portal will have a total of five major modules including Connect, Notice, Reference, Broadcast and Resource, through which all the law enforcement agencies of our country will come on one platform. CBI will get an excellent technical platform through Bharatpol. We will also be able to easily send necessary evidence and documents to the agencies of other countries for investigation. We will also be able to get inputs from foreign investigative agencies.
