Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta, coach of the Jordanian national team, said that he enters tomorrow’s match against the Qatari national team with the ambition of winning and crowning the 2023 Qatar Asian Cup title during the final match that will be held at Lusail Stadium.
Amouta confirmed in the press conference for the match, which was held today at the tournament’s media center, that the Jordanian team will participate in a historic confrontation and will seek to enjoy and delight the fans.
He pointed out that the players are fully prepared for the final match and do not suffer from absences, expressing his wish for the presence of large fans in the decisive match, given the importance of fan support and its impact on the team’s performance.
Amouta, who is assisted in leading Al-Nashama by a Moroccan technical team, stressed that the Jordanian team’s qualification for the Asian Cup final was the result of integrated technical, physical and mental work, adding that “when any team loses, some come out and hold the coach responsible, and when the team wins they say because of the fighting spirit.”
The Jordanian team is searching for its first title, while host Qatar seeks to become the fifth team to retain its title in the Asian Football Cup.
This is the third time that the final match will be purely Arab, after the 1996 edition between Saudi Arabia and the UAE and the 2007 edition between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
