Amparo Brambilla is one of the most popular entertainment figures in Peru. During the 1980s, she worked as a star and shared the stage with other dancers of that generation such as Gisela Valcárcel, Bettina Oneto and Analí Cabrera. Her popularity in the country became so great that, according to the now actress, she managed to charge a large sum of money per show, a figure that for that time, even today, is quite considerable.
Once she retired from Vedetism, she began her career on television, where she stood out as an actress and comedian. However, years later she decided to move away from the small screen, but in 2009 she returned to the TV sets with the character of Vanessa Camacho, the aunt of the popular Teresita de ‘There is room at the bottom.’
How much did Amparo Brambilla earn as a star?
When Brambilla was at her best as a vedette, she was one of the most sought after, because after her time in ‘Tulio de América a Cholocolor’, practically everyone knew her. Furthermore, one of the reasons for her success is that she never got involved in scandals and also did not deviate from her artistic career.
“When I started as a star, I was already a mother. My daughter was about two years old. I always thought about her before making any decision. She was my grounding cable, because although it was a nice work environment, there was no shortage of proposals of all kinds, and professional jealousy,” he told GEC.
As time went by, the ex-vedette became one of the most popular figures in theater cafes like ‘La gata Caliente’, one of the busiest entertainment venues in Lima at that time.
