Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi came out to respond to news of the French club’s interest in signing Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer.
The French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Paris Saint-Germain has begun the stage of testing Mohamed Salah’s pulse to find out the possibility of including him after the end of his contract with Liverpool next summer, especially after the Egyptian national team captain said that the chance of his departure is greater than his stay in the English giant.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg quoted Nasser Al-Khelaifi as saying in an interview that will be broadcast later on Sky Sports: “This news is not true. He is a wonderful and amazing player, but we never thought about including him, to be honest.”
The Saint-Germain president added: “We know that every club would like to obtain his services, but these rumors are simply not true.”
