An exhibition dedicated to the Year of Science in the Russian Federation has opened at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center. The project “In the Language of Rules and Exceptions” brings together objects related to the history of natural science research and works of art.
The exposition includes etchings by Rembrandt and Dürer, paintings by Pieter Brueghel Jr., drawings by Pavel Filonov, installations by Soviet nonconformists Dmitry Plavinsky, Francisco Infante, and many other art objects.
The project was implemented by the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center together with the Polytechnic Museum, which provided a number of exhibits from its collection. Also in the project are things from the Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Hermitage, the Museum of Architecture and a number of private collections.
The exhibition will run until July 2, 2023.
