Hamsa escaped the accident without major injuries. Mujeeb, his wife Rishwana Sherin and son Hemil Rahman were also injured in the accident. All of them were taken home for further treatment. Mujeeb was brought home on a stretcher on March 22. The accident happened while undergoing treatment in the country.
Kappa case: District administration with vigorous action on preventive detention recommendations
The district administration has stepped up action against those involved in serious crimes on the recommendations of the police for preventive detention under the Kappa case. District Collector Jeromick George has issued an order for preventive detention under Kappa Act 3(1) on 23 recommendations of the police in Thiruvananthapuram district this year.
An order was issued against eight persons in Thiruvananthapuram city area and 15 persons in rural area. Only 5 recommendations have so far been rejected after scrutiny. Three recommendations were rejected in Thiruvananthapuram city region and two recommendations in rural region. 27 recommendations of the police are being processed. It includes nine recommendations in urban areas and 18 in rural areas.
