An IIT Madras student gets a job with a package of Rs 2 crore.. a record salary

IIT, famous companies are queuing up for Madras students. A single student Rs. 2 crore package offer and took the job. IIT Madras has set a new record for placements in the academic year 2021-22. It is remarkable that a total of 1,199 students from this educational institution were selected for the jobs in the campus placements which continued in two phases. Around 380 companies have given opportunities to IIT students in their organizations. There are many start-up companies among these national and international giants.

While 1199 students got jobs in campus placements, another 231 students got jobs in the respective companies through internships before the placements. This brings the total number of students who got jobs from this institution to 1,430 this year.

According to the details disclosed by IIT Madras, the average annual salary of students is Rs.21.48 lakhs. Out of this, a student got the highest annual salary of Rs.1.98 crores. IIT Madras sources revealed that this year 45 students got jobs in international companies. These include Rakuten Mobile, Glean, Micron Technologies, Honda R&D, Cohesty, DaVinci Derivatives, Accenture Japan, Hilabs, Quantbox Research, Media Tech, Money Forward, Rubrics, TermGrid and others.

Along with MNCs, 131 start-up companies have offered jobs to 199 students with a good salary package. Another feature is that 100 percent placements have been recorded in the management department of IIT Madras. A total of 61 MBA students in this department got jobs.

1,151 students secured jobs in IIT Madras campus placements in 2018-19. Till now this is the maximum.. this year that record has been surpassed. IIT, Madras revealed that 80 per cent of the students who registered to participate in the placement this year got jobs.
